It is usually most fitting to say that the year has started off with a bang, but at The SA School of Weddings, we can proudly announce that 2015 has started off with a baby! Congratulations to our owner and founder, Khali de Villiers on the arrival of your beautiful boy.
The annual Memoire Wedding and Function Venue Expo and the Oakfield Farm Expo that took place this January saw a few of our past students exhibiting their new business ventures to potential brides in the industry. “It is so exciting for us to see our past students out there, approaching potential clients loving what they do”, said owner Khali de Villiers.
Now, almost two months in and classes are already well under way, with our full-time Wedding Management students in the thick of their first classes. The course is a year-long intensive course mainly focused on young and enthusiastic ladies and gentlemen who have a passion for styling weddings and all specialisations involved. Orientation week saw the students taking part in some much-needed bonding time, scavenger-hunting at the zoo, meeting with various industry suppliers and getting all dolled up for a class photo shoot at The Bryanston Country Club.
Most exciting is the steady influx of students into our various courses, having filled thirteen classes this year already. The SA School of Weddings offers courses in Wedding Planning and Styling, Flower Arranging and Function Décor, Wedding and Event Draping, Wedding Cake Decorating, Wedding and Event Stationery. We hold part-time and full-time courses in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban and have a number of well-known and highly reputable industry experts to teach the lectures.
Any prospective wedding planners out there? Make 2015 your year!
